Galaxy S4 Rumor Roundup. 8 Core processor, 13 MP camera and more.
These days, its so common that rumors concerning every phone are up a long time before they actually release and these buzzes are mostly right! Even big flicks like the iPhone 5 was kind of disclosed long before its release, but the rumors regarding the S4 are not one of those usual phone rumors! The S4 is the successor to the Samsung's hit saga of Galaxy S phones. The hotly anticipated Korean phone is flooding up the tech arena with its gossips. Read on to know what they are.
"Are you kidding me?" This was my reaction when I first heard that the S4 could have an 8 core processor. And I still don't believe that Samsung can do it, but as far as the rumors go, the S4 might have an 8 core processor. This year in February, Samsung is set to show off ARM's 28 nm octo-core chip with four 1.8 GHz Cortex A15 cores and four more Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. Even though the technology is there, it is next to impossible to integrate that into the S4, and will take time to see itself in use. But you never know, Samsung might just surprise everyone with the new chip integrated in the S4.
The phone could even have a beefed up 13MP camera, which is a huge upgrade from the S2 and S3 which feature the same 8MP shooter. Samsung wanted to give the S3 a 13 MP shooter as well but could not because Sony couldn't make enough sensors. So it should now fulfill its desire with the S4.
5 inch Display
The Galaxy S4 could have a 5 inch Super Amoled PenTile Display with a Full HD resolution of 1080p, at 344 ppi. There is surely an advancement in the display from its predecessor, the S3 which had a 4.8 inch screen.
The S4 could make its appearance next year in the CES that will be held in January, which is off course the Annual Technology Extravaganza or Samsung might even unveil the phone in Mobile World Congress, this February featuring most of the phones releasing in 2013. Whatever it may be, from the rumors, its clear that the S4 is something to look for and it could be as successful as the S3, or maybe beat the S3 sales as well.
