The iPhone 5S is back with a brand new bag. This is the most advanced iPhone yet and offers several new features. In addition to the A6 chipset advance, new phone features like Facebook integration and an advanced Siri make the phone a valuable social networking tool. The new design makes it easier to handle and carry, and the two hundred dollar price tag makes it a steal for the amount of use that you can obtain from it. Let's take a look at why the iPhone S5 sold over one million phones in pre-order, breaking records for both Apple and AT&T.
The iPhone 5S has a few new toys. Besides browsing capabilities, it is common for people to judge their phone by how well the apps on it work. The iPhone 5S has Siri, who is of course, the interactive automated voice command system, and with the new release, she has been improved to launch apps, make reservations for restaurants and to update Twitter and Facebook and also to retrieve real time statistics. It also has Facebook integration, which allows you to "like" things from Facebook from inside the iTunes store, and access your Facebook through other native apps such as the calendar. These new toys will have the social networkers ready to swipe and and post any where. The chipset has also made an advance. The iPhone 5S has an Apple A6, which means that the running memory of the phone has doubled, from 512MB to 1GB. Storage size remains the same at 16, 32, or 64GB, with no external storage supported. Improved low-light performance from the 8 megapixel camera makes taking pictures a little easier, as well as still having a front camera that maxes out at 1.2 megapixels. With the advance in the chipset there comes a change in size - the A6 chipset is 22 percent smaller than the A5, and the phone requires a nano-SIM to operate.
The iPhone 5S is lighter and thinner than it's older brothers. The iPhone 5s is completely made out of glass and aluminum, which makes it about 20% lighter, and thinner than the previous versions. In addition to the lighter phone, Apple stepped up the game to compete with other smartphones that are already marketing their phones with larger screens; the iPhone 5S makes the grade with a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display as opposed to the previous displays of 3.5 inches. The larger display adds a fifth row of icons to the user's screen, making the phone easier to use. The battery, like the other versions of the phone, is a lithium battery built into the machine. The battery life is important to users, and the iPhone 5S grabs your attention with a whopping 225 hours of standby power, and even eight solid hours of power while using a 4G network to browse. For users that means that they can complete just about any project they start on their phone without having to stop and charge their phone.
OK, I'm hooked, is there anything else? Yes. Again, the iPhone 5S has plenty of battery time, and this is over a 4G network. The 4G network means that you have instant browsing and uploading as well as excellent download time and easy project sharing. The phone also can be used as a hotspot, and other devices can receive those signals and log on to the Internet as well. In addition, the iPhone 5S is teamed up with a few reputable telephone wireless carriers: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint, so you have a choice of carriers.
It's very easy to see why the iPhone 5S broke records in pre-order sales, and is sold in over 100 countries all over the world. The new phone has all the bells and whistles of the old phone, less of the bulk, and more things to play with as you get to know the phone.
